The user asked if there was any way to display the external source IP address of a session in ControlUp Solve like in Citrix ADM. It was suggested to add the Client Public IP address to the view, and it may require Remote DX to populate the value. Another suggested option was a script to obtain the information; however, the user opted to use Citrix ADM since it includes historical data.

Is there any way that controlUp Solve can display the external source ip address of a session like we can see in Citrix ADM ( MAS) ? Now all I can find is the client -ip and most of the time that is the internal ip address of our customer environment.
There is a way to add columns into Solve and you can add the Client Public IP address to the view. Let me know if this is what you are looking for.
thank you Sivan, I found the column. So far it remains empty, I will compare it with the session data in Citrix ADM
Keep me posted if you need anything else 🙂
@member hey, wanted to mention one more thing, you may need Remote DX to get the Client Public IP address. If you aren’t familiar with it, you can see a bit here: https://www.controlup.com/products/remote-dx/
we are familiar with it @member however, we are a CSP and do not manage the endpoints. We only distribute remoteDX for troubleshooting purposes ( wifi related issues ). So I think in this case we fall back to Citrix ADM then since there is no extra plugin needed and information is obtained from the netscaler I assume
We can’t populate the value, but there is a script that can get you the information as well, just verified it with @member
thank you @member we will stick to ADM for this part then since it also includes historical data .
🙂
