The user asked about curating the right-click action list in ControlUp – by using a prefix with the company and script name, the scripts can be filtered and found more easily in the Console. Renaming a community script with a prefix may orphan it from future updates. Virtual Expert rules can also be used to organize the columns. The user also mentioned using Site Monitor on a trigger to dump a CSV onto a share.

Is there a way to disable or remove\organize\curate the list of script actions in the right-click context menu? A lot of these scripts are great, but some just don’t apply to our environment, so I’d like to make the list easier to poke through.
Hi @member, in Solve Actions (available from 8.7) we introduced script categories 🙂
Yeah, it is a bit frustrating having so many scripts in that list and no way to remove them.
A couple ways to mitigate that a bit.
- use a ! or Z to preface the script name for the scripts you wrote or use. This will move them to the top or bottom
- The scripts you use or wrote, we would use our company name as a prefix. Maybe your Titan Title, so TT- or !TT- to bring all yours to the top
- Just above Recommended Actions, you can start typing and it will filter the list so
type say !TT-, and you will only see those beginning with !TT-
Since there isn’t a folders concept in the RT Console, something like !TT-disk or !TT-clean might be a way to get them so they are more easily found
Yep I’m doing the prefix thing for my scripts. I saw that right-click search feature. That is convenient for sure! I will just teach my users to search for the prefix. I noticed the community scripts get updates. If I rename a community script with our prefix, will it stay in sync with the community updates? I’m guessing renaming it orphans it?
I’d guess so too. Wonder if one of the CU Guys/Gals can shed some light on that

You can also use Virtual Expert rules to assign your actions to specific columns. Way easier than navigating that context menu.
Site monitor usage? 😁👍Caught me lol
I set that up on a scheduled trigger too for fun 🙂Slightly tweaked it to dump a csv onto our share
