A user suggested having a floating window with the processes of a user when the "Navigation to sessions/overview" is clicked, as a way to check for CPU, RAM, disk or network spikes when their "User Input Delay" exceeds a certain threshold. Another user suggested using the „dump views to disk” follow-up action in triggers as an alternative. This follow-up action can be used to select the views needed and create CSVs or XLS files for further investigation. Information about this can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/setting-up-triggers.

I know I must be a pain, but here is a suggestion I would like to make. I have a specific case of users having slowdowns or blockages.
When I see that the "User Input Delay" of a user exceeds a certain threshold, I would like to be able to quickly check the processes of this user to detect which one would make CPU, RAM, disk or network spikes.
If one clicks on "Navigation to sessions/overview", it is likely that the cause of the delay is already no longer visible.
Of course, it should be possible to use automation to produce a report whenever a user input delay threshold is exceeded… but I don’t have automation (yet).
Hence my suggestion: when you switch to "Navigation to sessions/overview", you could have a floating window that opens with the processes of this user.
I hope it makes sense…
Thanks, cheers
You dont need automation if you just need the Views 🙂
Theres the "dump views to disk" follow-up action where you can select the views you need.
Sorry, I’m not sure that I understand your point. Can you show me how this dump view to disk works and how it could help me do what I was suggesting ? Thanks
Hey, when you add your trigger you can select in the Follow-Up Actions section „Dump views to disk“. Then you select eg the Machines and Process Views.
You will then have CSVs or XLS you can use for further investigation.
It’s not comfortable but doable I think…

thanks for your explanation 😉
