Is anyone else seeing extremely high CPU usage on macOS Sequoia from /usr/local/com.controlup.edgedx.agent/Bin/CoreAgent? We are opening a ticket, but I figured I would ask here as well. We are seeing this on quite a few devices upwords of 200-600% CPU Percentage.
<result>CPU Percentage: 398.0%, CPU Time: 1516:21.28, Memory Usage: 3.2%</result>
What version is your Agent ?
We are on the latest GA version. 2.15.0 with our Global default set to LATEST GA VERSION in the console.
All caps was just because thats how it is phrased in the console, by the way.. Not yelling about the GA version. 💀
And the macOS version ?
We have a mixed fleet seeing it across: 14.7.1, 14.7.2, 15.1.1, 15.2, and 15.3(beta)
Does restarting the device fix the issue ?
Yeah for a brief moment and then we see it pop back up which is why we made a Jamf Extension Attribute to check against the specific process. This is not just one or two devices this is a few hundred so far since setting up the EA.
I saw this with a earlier agent version but it’s been fixed since
We don’t use Jamf
Perhaps it would be best that you log a call with CU support and get the logs as soon as possible to them
Sorry was not much help
No worries! Yeah, we have the ticket open, we are just trying to prod a bit around the community bit as well. Thanks for jumping in though!
