A user asked how to create an alert based on CPU Temperature. It is not collected by default but can be put in a custom index for Macs by using the output from the ‘sudo powermetrics’ command.

don’t think we collect this by default as far from all hw manufactures enable the wmi queries to get this info. If you have a proper option that works it’s a matter of building an alert based on the index that you use

for mac you can put parts of the output for
sudo powermetrics
in a custom index for example
