This Slack discussion discussed the new Script Actions feature on ControlUp version 8.7, with a user having issues running them from Solve. A ticket with support will be opened and it was suggested that it could be related to logging in with a different UPN. this may have been covered before but any future plans to get script actions in solve like you can do currently in the console?
Those are now in v8.7
awesome! our console is currentlyl 8.7.0.579 but i’m not seeing an option for scripts in Solve..maybe i’m not looking at the right spot?
You should have them, right click a machine or session
right click on a machine name
The management is still in the console btw
oh awesome can’t believe i missed that! i am going to get more coffee now 🙂 thanks guys! thats huge! was hoping to get that for our help desk as the console is so resource heavy so i’m the only one that uses it but they use solve
sorry one last thing…..trying to run a session script and i’m getting a permissions error but i have everything set to allow as far as i can tell (i can run it fine from the console as well
Hey @member – That’s interesting… the fact you can run it from the console, but not solve definitely is mysterious. I’d recommend opening a ticket with support (support@ControlUp.com or controlup.com/submit-a-ticket), so one of our GCS resources can jump on with you and help you get to the bottom of this!
Ok thanks I’ll do that! Yup I’m not able to run and actions (computer or session) from solve but can from the console

Thanks Joel! I did go through that guide….I think it says everyone should be able to run the actions in silver by default though right? I have a ticket opened now and they said they have to look into it more since this feature is so new
How do you log into Solve? Is it possible you are using a different UPN then you are when logging into the console? (Bit late to the chat, sorry!)
All good! That’s for the help! We set solve up for SSO so possibly but ultimately it seems like it recognized my user as an admin either way
