A user asked if anyone is using EdgeDX and Beyond Trust Endpoint Privilege Management (Avecto) in their environment and experiencing issues with Teams crashing or not opening. ControlUp has exclusions in place, but the issue persists. Following registry entries should indicate exclusions put in place by the Avecto team. Communications between ControlUp and Avecto support may be necessary to troubleshoot the issue further.

Anyone here using EdgeDX on full workstations (not thin clients) along with Beyond Trust Endpoint Privilege Management (Avecto) in their environments? We get incidents that whenever the two are loaded on the machine teams won’t open or crashes. If we stop the SIP service or the avecto service Teams opens fine. Our Avecto Admins have done all the exclusions documented by ControlUp but the issue remains. Wondering if anyone else have this combination out there…
Dose teams work if you take off the EdgeDX client and leave Avecto and also the other way round?

is there an exclusion list in (Avecto) that you can add the edgeDX process to it

Yes, and already put in place as stated in the op..
a problem for you then as both CU support and Avecto will have hard time finding issue you might need both talking#
Hey Rick, I know you said you guys added the exclusions in Avecto but I’m just curious about something. If you look in the following registry on an affected system, do you see the registry entries for the Exclusions your Avecto team added?
