Users asked if there was any way to avoid getting flooded with alerts when setting multiple conditions in Scoutbees – one suggestion is to have the scout run every hour and have it alert after a certain number of failed tests. Although this solution is not ideal, another suggestion was to have a user vote for the request on the roadmap and ask for an update. Further, another user suggested introducing Polly for Slack polls instead. The certificate alerts provided by ControlUp are also not ideal.

Hi Guys
Just want to check if this is on the road map or when under review you
In Scoutbees, we can set multiple constrictions but the the for subsequent tests makes it difficult for multiple conditions see the example image
If I want to have a Cert expiry conditions say for less than 14 days but the scout is set to run every 5 minutes I am going to get flooded with alerts
The only way I can see this working is to set a separate scout for every condition that I want to alert very Messy
Or am I missing something?
i think a user voice was submitted for this. Go vote for it
Maybe Doug will get Polly for Slack and we can have polls here instead
@member any chance we can get an update 🙂
What we do is have the scout run every 60 minutes then only alert us after 23 “failed” scouts. This gives us 1 alert per day. It’s very hacky and not ideal but its the only way to not get spammed. We also limited it to running on 30/15/7/1 days to expiry.
The certificate alerts themselves aren’t great either, tbh.
@member is a leet haxxor
@member what’s the current plan for the ability to “snooze” alerts or prevent the same alert from repeating over and over again? I know that this has been asked quite a few times
@member i like ur thinking
@member is the genius here.
