A user asked about checking if a machine had a specific Citrix tag assigned, to which it was replied that currently ControlUp does not have Citrix tags as a metric, but version 8.8MR (in beta) has a way of adding ControlUp tags to grids through a script that pulls the Tag and writes it to the machine’s registry. Details for joining the ControlUp beta can be found in #controlup_product-betas.

Hi, is it possible to check with a trigger if a machine has a specific Citrix tag assigned?
We currently don’t have Citrix tags as a metric/field we collect (although this could be a good idea for the future @member), so you won’t be able to trigger on it.
With 8.8MR (currently in beta) we have have a new way of adding ControlUp tags to the grid (https://support.controlup.com/docs/add-tags-column-to-information-grid)
So what you could do is create a script (and run that through a trigger, e.g. scheduled or on machine start or something) that pulls the Tag from Citrix based on the machine name, write that tag to the machine’s registry and that will pull that data into ControlUp. Then you could use the ControlUp tag field as part of your trigger
Thank you Joel! I didn’t knew about the custom ControlUP tags but I’ll give them a shot soon.
Jonas, its currently only in our beta release. See details about the beta in #controlup_product-betas
