A user asked about documentation for variables that can be used for alerts in teams for Citrix Netscalers. Other users suggest using ControlUp ScoutBees or configuring a webhook/RESTful API call. The group also discusses using environment variables and creating custom dashboards for reminders and visualizations.

I have a question around teams alerts for Citrix Netscalers, does anyone have any documentation on what variables can be used?
For example I have an trigger for certs that expire in less than 30 days so I’d like to setup the alerting template to read something like CERTNAME on ADCNAME expires in DAYSTILLEXPIRE but cant seem to find anything on the knowledge base.
Do u have controlup scoutbees as this can do that for u with no script needed
At the moment were not using ScoutBees so I’m configuring everything manually in DX 😞
I had an old script will need to search for it
I’ve got the scripting etc its the alert into teams I’m trying to find the variables for as I want to avoid a generic message if possible.
Ahh ok missed that part
trigger an alert with the generic template and see what it gives you, that will give you an idea of the variables that it has.
its what i did when developing my templates to work out the variables
NetScaler’s variables are limited or where last time i looked

You can configure the webhook/RESTful API call and although it can be customized, you can’t pass on any data coming back from the script.
You can use environment variables as is described here https://support.controlup.com/v1/docs/notification-templates
@member I’ve already read the documentation you provided but I’m not able to find anything that relates to Netscaler variables, my apologies in my last message I’m not actually using a script I’m using a trigger that uses Days Until Next Certificate Expiration
At the moment it looks like I’m going to have to wait until we get ScoutBees up and running.
finished ythe work i needed to get done today, will have a look after my food see what i can find
you could could set it as a visual on a dashboard as well as a interm reminder
Thats not a bad shout, are you using a custom dashboard for this?
yes, that is one of have setup. more i want to do for the customer i am on these day but just not got to it yet
