An issue arose where ControlUp Agents randomly got uninstalled from some servers overnight. It was suggested to check the Real-time console settings and the command line to see if they were in ‘Temp Mode’, which can cause the issue. The solution proposed was to uninstall and reinstall the agent and configure the settings accordingly. An article can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/controlup-agent-temporary-mode-and-how-to-change-it?highlight=IsTemporary#what-is-the-fix-for-this-problem.

CU agent randomly got uninstalled on some servers overnight. anyone see this before?
Hi @member, can you pls check if the agents are deployed in “Temp mode”?
two ways to check this, via the RT console settings:
Is this checkbox enabled?
you got there before me Benjamin! thx!
can also test via the CU Agent service command line
will check but 99% sure its not selected. i aways unselect that on all deployments
give me a few mins to logon
also check this:
if the command line ends with “/temp”, you may need to uninstall the agent and install it again, assuming the checkbox we shared above is properly configured
(e.g. agent was maybe pushed when temp mode was still enabled, changing the settings only affects new agents deployments)
yeah the bix is ticket
what woulkd prompt the uninstall. servers are always on and in use
