ControlUp Solve / Insight and Ping (ICMP) Network Requests

A user asked why the Solve and Insight appliances from ControlUp do not respond to Ping requests. They have a local firewall blocking ICMP for added security.

Yep, the appliances have a local firewall that blocks ICMP.
