A user asked if there was a way to import external data from CSV files into ControlUp to create a custom report or data index – the only way is to run a script on endpoints. An example of this is used by a customer to create an asset management index. The data is available in the registry, and can be accessed and used to create the data index with ControlUp using a login script run from a GPO.

Good day
I have Data externally from Controlup lest say in a csv format
is there a way that i can import it to link wiht the devices enrolled and then show the data in a custom report or data index ?
nope, only way for custom data is to run a script on the endpoints (I have a customer who creates an asset mgmt index this way)
That is what i also want to do.
their advantage is that they already store a ton of data in the registry during the build process of the machine so what they want in there is locally available
I love that idea
and then they use controluo to read the info and build the data index
yup, parts are also added to their registry using a small login script
and thats running as GPO or on the device itself ?
it’s running from a gpo as it was created before they started using edge dx
