This discussion was about creating a script to show who changed maintenance mode on Citrix machines and when, as well as potential logs for restarts, forced logoffs and MCS updates. The ControlUp Script Library already includes a script that shows log information, but users suggested modifications to provide more detailed information such as for maintenance mode changes. The discussion was in favour of this idea as it would allow for quicker learning of the why behind accidental maintenance mode changes. The Script Library URL is https://www.controlup.com/script-library-posts/show-citrix-director-actions/.

What are people’s thoughts on a script to show who changed maintenance mode on a Citrix machine(s) and when? Could also report on restarts, forced logoffs, MCS updates, etc? There is already a script in the library that shows log information, like you get in Studio, but it only does high level so doesn’t give exact details like for for maintenance mode changes
This is the current script although I’m having problems with it in my lab in that the date filters no longer seem to work which I have raised with Citrix

Yeah that would be very handy, show maintenance mode, power actions, log sessions off i know a few customers you would like that script
I’ve thought about this myself as the Studio interface is not great. I think it would be very useful.
I’d say that is a really good idea. There has been a handful of times where the team size or access allows for many to put a VM or even a Delivery Group in MM purposefully or accidently, then causes some confusion. So knowing the who/when can then making learning the why quicker.
