A user reported that the ControlUp agent was not working with the Dell Wyse ThinOS 2303 firmware and mentioned that Dell may need to be involved with the new update. It was suggested that a Dell case should be opened. After some further investigation, the user found that a module.ini setting had been added which caused the ControlUp agent to not load, and removing the entries fixed the issue.Title: ControlUp Agent Not Working After Dell Wyse ThinOS 2303 Firmware Update
Read the entire ” thread below:
Hey there. I just updated a dell wyse thinos client to the new firmware 2303 (23.2.0.10.4) and version 1.0.0.1.33 of the Controlup agent. I am no longer getting Remote DX information since the update. I tried back leveling the controlup agent to version 1.0.0.1.26 which worked with thinos 2211 but it still does not work with 2303. Is there anything more that needs to be done with the new release of thinos and the controlup agent?
Hi @member! Hope all is well over there. If you haven’t already, please open a support ticket, so we can better track this. We may need to involve Dell again with the new update.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
will do
@member I sent your reply to our contact in Dell and waiting to hear from them.
Can you please open a Dell case (the problem is probably in their OS)
Is this working for you on the new OS? Opening a ticket with Dell is not an easy task. They require a ton of info.
@member ^^^^I don’t have it in my lab.
They are the ones that doing the QA for new OS (we did not do any change in our binaries).
Do they test remoteDX functionality as well?
I think so, we are testing new versions only
@member did you hear anything about an issue with the new OS?No I didn’t. I will ask Dell about this.
Ok I have found something on this. I had added some module.ini settings to test the jitter buffer. Adding those caused the controlup agent to not load in the module.ini
removing the module.ini entries has fixed the controlup issue
