A user asked ControlUp about FedRamp certification, and if there was a feature parity matrix between the on-prem release and SaaS. They were informed that ControlUp is not FedRamp certified but is in the process of obtaining this certification, and a feature matrix is available at https://support.controlup.com/docs/controlup-modes. Additionally, edge dx and Scoutbees require the cloud and when in the Government space, Hybrid mode is not available.

Hi ControlUP Fam! Quick one for you – Not sure the best place to ask this, I asked a few folks via E-mail but haven’t heard back so posting here for the greater audience and then we all gain knowledge from the reply! What was I thinking using traditional e-mail when we have an awesome Slack community! Silly me!
Can someone assist with providing feedback around FedRamp High Compliance? Is ControlUP FedRAMP authorized? I don’t believe so, but would like to verify. With that, if not, I haven’t looked much into the on-prem product, but is there a link/matrix covering the feature parity?
If I have such questions with German customers I advice them to check the security site:
https://www.controlup.com/controlling-your-security/
Guess you already saw that site and unfortunately FedRamp is not listed what I saw there.
Yes, I didn’t think so, but more so curious on the Matrix not with feature parity of the on-prem product versus SaaS as this prospect would need to go the on-prem route.
Thanks for posting that.
ControlUp is not fedramp certified but is in the process of getting the certification. This requires a sponsor which we already have. The process just takes time.
understood – Thank you for the update! In the meantime, is there by chance a feature matrix covering feature parity between the on-prem release and SaaS?
Bottom of this page. https://support.controlup.com/docs/controlup-modes
But I would also throw in the combined web portal now. Solve in the hybrid model is where you go for both realtime and historical data. For on-prem thats two different web portals.
Not to mention the HUGE storage requirement for the historical data.
And on-prem is for our RealTime product only. Both edge dx and Scoutbees require cloud.
Yeah when in the Gov Space though they won’t be able to use the Hybrid mode. That’s sort of what I was thinking and from looking at the matrix I can see that. Realtime only which is at least greater visibility then built in director for CVAD. Then when FedRAMP compliance comes along can look at a transition down the road.
