A user was looking for user roles and permissions settings that they had set in Solve or DEX. It was pointed out that it is the "Use Solve" permission in the security policy that controls this. If using DEX, it can be accessed from the gear on the bottom left in app.controlup.com, under roles. The user found the settings successfully.

probably easy question but where can i find solve user roles/permissions? i had setup our help desk w/ limited rights but for some reason i can’t find where i set that anymore (in solve or dex). i’m sure i’m just overlooking
Its just the security policy in the RTC. It roles right into Solve.
so its not set IN solve anymore?
Never was. Its the "Use Solve" permission in the security policy along with all the other permissions.
Unless your referring to Edge.
actually its remote dx that i’m thinking. i know there was somewhere we’d set granular permissions for that in the web console

Are you using DEX?
If you have upgraded to DEX the settings move from Edge to the gear on the bottom left.
so far just me…..our help desk is still using solve
in app.controlup.com go to the gear on the bottom left and then roles.
ahh there it is! i could have sworn i looked there but totally missed it! thanks for the help!
