A user was looking for firewall and webproxy exceptions for the new DEX platform. They found some documentation on https://support.controlup.com/docs/get-started-with-the-new-dex-platform, but noticed some discrepancies with denied websites. They also mentioned https://support.controlup.com/v1/docs/communication-ports-used-by-controlup-hybrid-cloud-1 as a helpful resource. Another user pointed out that they did not see the prod-dex-login URL listed in the documentation and asked for more information on the source. It was confirmed that the user’s organization had not properly set up the SAML login method for DEX. A request was made to look into the issue internally.

Looking for firewall\webproxy exceptions needed for the new DEX platform.
I found this: https://support.controlup.com/docs/get-started-with-the-new-dex-platform
But I’m seeing webproxy denies to this:
prod-dex-login-eastus.controlup.com
I need some documentation to send to our Security group to get the proper exceptions in place. Thx

all in that i ythink
I checked there and didn’t see prod-dex.login-……
just looking again thought i seen it
But rt-app-us is there. Do you have at least that whitelisted? Why not just set *.controlup.com? Interesting that you see that URL as I haven’t seen it in my proxy log.
can’t find prod-dex-login-eastus.controlup.com on the starting with dex link
What is the source of that prod-dex-login one?
a workstation trying to get to and log in to DEX
hmm… I only have my monitors going through the proxy. Need to play with this…
lol, don’t have microsoft whitelisted. SAML fail.
Which login method are you using?
this was the ORGs first attempt following the new DEX document. he gets as far as entering an email address.
Got it. I’ll raise this internally.
