The user is seeking guidance on creating an alert for their users regarding the status of OneDrive. They reach out to the Solve ControlUp website for assistance. Matt from Solve ControlUp suggests using version 8.8, currently in beta, to monitor OneDrive services. Another community member mentions that version 8.8 is required for monitoring the sync and update service. They also share a sample script for creating a Toast Notification. The user expresses gratitude and plans to explore version 8.8 and the provided script.

I am using Solve ControlUp website and wanted to reach out too see if you guys could guide me in the right direction on creating an Alert for my users.
We have group policy that supposed to force OneDrive to load at startup, what we would want is an Alert to tell us if onedrive.exe "isn’t" running.
New to the Community, so it would be greatly appreciated if you guys has any insight on this or have something like this set up in your environments. Thx
Hello Matt! We have version 8.8 that’s in a beta phase that can def monitor services such as this. I recommend you deploy beta 8.8 to take care of this type of problem you have. 😉
Thx for the info, I will take a look at that!!
you can always do an alert for if the OneDrive.exe is not running in the user’s session you don’t need 8.8 for that
you would need 8.8 to tell u if the sync and update service is running

Thx for the info Luke, appreciate it!!!
@member here is a sample script of a Toast Notification which you can configure to actually show a message in the user session. You can customize it with your logo and also allows for example to supply an action upon clicking a button to raise a servicedesk request for example.
