The team inquired about the consequences of changing the ControlUp service account password – it will affect Windows service accounts, IIS App Pools, monitor settings, and IOP ldap bind. A hint was shared to use the "Uninstall" option in appwiz.cpl and to restart the COP server for best results.

Team, looking for some guidance on changing the ControlUP service account password. Does changing it through the COP server in add/remove programs also change the password on the IIS App Pools and the windows service accounts (LDS and Incidents)?
It should, yes. Keep in mind though this is just one component and you still have monitors/extensions/etc.
yeah, the other places i’m tracking is the "monitor settings" section and the IOP ldap bind
If you’re using the COP Setup in appwiz.cpl make sure to use the „Uninstall“-trick, had very different issues when trying the „Change“-way…
If you can no longer start the console beside you used the „Uninstall“-way, I recommend to restart COP server after the change and try again… #ExperiencesFromTheField
