The discussion between users and @member covers the upcoming addition to Solve of Automated Reports which can be scheduled daily/weekly/monthly according to user selectors and time frames. Reports could include for example data from Machine Trends combined with Session Activity. The feature is planned for upcoming Solve beta testing.

Is there any way to create our own custom historical reports from Solve? Or would it be a feature request? My manager usually comes to me once a month for some of last months data and I have to pull bits from multiple reports to send to him
not yet, api’s to gather historical data from Solve or on he roadmap.
what kind of data do you need to combine? Maybe we can do some magic in our backend or ask @member to add it as a report for the streaming projectIts stuff that’s all already there but on different pages, so every month I’m asked to get total sessions, peak concurrent sessions, login duration and then CPU and memory stats from a particular group of servers from that previous month
@member could this information be pulled through the monitor using powershell? It wouldn’t be directly though Solve though and you would need to build it up.
u can also export the data and user powershell to write a report for u
keyword here is historically so you’d need to start building your own repository
Cc @member (my be interesting to learn the use case here…)
Hi @member, we are planning to add Automated Reports to the Solve.
Phase 1- you (Solve User) will be able to schedule report daily / Weekly / Monthly, according to the selected reports selectors and time frame. e.g. Machine Trends of the selected Folder or selected Machine (Selectors) during the last 30 days (Time frame).
Phase 2 – Enhanced Automated reports – Solve User will be able to build Automated reports from a Several Reports, the plan is to allow to you (admin user) to select "widgets"Reports and/or Grid from existing list (Only supported reports) with the same time frame.
Report Example:
- Schedule – Reports Schedule. Email – (To, Email Subject)
- Select Time Frame.
- Select – Reports from a list (the number will be limited) of reports grouping (e.g. Machine Trends – Compute Utilization (CPU, GPU and Memory) + Session Activity – Session Summary (Total Sessions, Unique Users, Unique Client Name).
Sounds great, thanks @member
yeah @member it looks real good 🙂 can’t wait for you to bring it to beta
