Trying to determine how many users in the company are using New MS Teams vs classic MS Teams and wondering if we can use Edge DX to get this information. Classic Teams runs as Teams.exe and New Teams runs as ms-teams.exe with most of the Teams processing being "Microsoft Edge WebView2". When I look at Application Usage Statistics I see Teams.exe but I do not see any entries for ms-teams.exe. I do see msedgewebview2.exe but that could be used for more than just Teams. Any ideas of a way to determine which version of Teams users are actively using?
Take a look at the "Installed Applications by Version" report and search for Teams classic.
Learn something new everyday day.
I also see that you can just go into the data and create a custom report to just show your Device names and filter by application.
