The user looked for a metric to get the number of machines in maintenance mode for a dashboard. Currently, the "CVAD Maintenance Mode" metric displays if the machines are in maintenance mode or not, but "Available Machines" or "Available Delivery Groups" may be more useful, as they represent machines not in maintenance mode. A real count of maintenance machines or alternative metric adding availability while excluding "in use" would also be helpful. Custom widgets drilldown will soon be available.

any way to get “# of machines in maintenance mode” in a dashboard? there’s a CVAD Maintenance Mode but I don’t know how to get “# of machines” type value
That’s a good question… I know we’ve got some %-related metrics, but I’m double-checking now…
I believe the way you’ve got it currently configured should work… @member – do you know? I’ve tried to replicate it, but getting ‘sorry. Currently there’s no data available.’ in my demo org.
@member We currently do not have a metric that indicates the number of machines in maintenance mode. the “CVAD Maintenance Mode” metric shows whether selected machine/delivery group is in maintenance mode or not.
But! We do have the “Available Machines” and “Available Delivery Groups” metrics – which actually shows (sum or percentage, however you want) the number/percentage of available machines/delivery groups, and by “available” we mean – not in maintenance mode, and actually up & running and can receive connections. and this is definitely covers your use case also 🙂

true but it is not useful for VDI sessions because if it is in use it shows unavailable (which makes sense but also doesn’t)
Looking for metric that shows me unhealthy box or truly unavilable but should be. VDI’s in use are not available but that doesn’t differentiate between in use and those that are offline and those that are having problems like unregistered or something else.
also also, when will these widgets be clickable so you can drill in and see? so i added %available machines but i cant click on it to see anythign. so, useful but not useful sad face
Regarding the first subject, I agree. the “available” term does not make any differentiate between in use, maintenance or unregistered.
A real count of “maintenance” machines will be helpful? Or you rather see a column that shows availability but excludes the “in use”?
On the second subject, we are working on custom widgets drilldown as we speak! hopefully this should be in production by the end of JAN 23 🙂
