James suggested adding Edge DX application paths to an executable bypass list in order to communicate with the tenant correctly when Symantec WSS Agent or a similar web content/ proxy agent is installed on macOS. The application paths are usr/local/com.controlup.edgedx.agent, usr/local/com.controlup.edgedx.agentmanager, and /Volumes/ControlUp Edge DX. Support for tunneling URLs needed for the Agent Manager is not available on macOS.

If anyone has a need to install Edge DX on macOS and they also have a web content / proxy agent like Symantec WSS Agent, you will need to add application paths for Edge DX to the “executable bypass list” in your configuration to allow it to communicate to your tenant properly. macOS does not handle tunneling well with the URLs that are required for Agent Manager.
Paths are:
usr/local/com.controlup.edgedx.agent/**
usr/local/com.controlup.edgedx.agentmanager/**
/Volumes/ControlUp Edge DX/**
