The user asked if they can run an application as part of a Scout with Scoutsbees shell extensions. It is possible to run anything on the Custom Hive or Powershell.exe as System. Login Enterprise combined with Azure was suggested for migration testing or a new application, but Shell execution would have to run in the Custom Hive and System context. The user wanted to avoid going through separate teams and departments to use the logon script in Scoutbees.

With scoutsbees shell extensions, can you lunch an application as part a scout?
You can run anything on the custom hive.
…as system
Typically we run something and look for the error code or return code.
I run a PS script, so I agree, anything you can invoke from a commandline.
If you run powershell.exe something.ps1 you can have the script test whatever and return a value based on the test.
The use case is I want to lunch an application with the user session at user logon. Shell execution runs on a custom hive and in the system context so probably not what your looking for.
that’s what i was thinking but seeing if someone got creative and if not than a sneaky feature request
Run it as logon script for the user you configure in scoutbees 😉
yeah but involves having to go through seperate teams and departments and Change controls LOL trying to avoid that
