A user asked advice on how to help with the real-time client not using a minimum of 1.4 GB RAM, due to the in-ram database the monitors use. It was suggested to connect to the hypervisor and EUC sites only and drill into the machines to connect to the agent. Solve and the web portal are the paths forward, with the ability to open different views in different browser tabs or on multiple screens, as well as stream Session Activity Reports in Solve. The user also asked about the Session Client Report and it was suggested to manage the columns in the presets and to use the ability to share report configurations.

any tips how to help w/ the realtime client not using a min of 1.4gb RAM? i have processes view disabled and max concurrent transactions set to 100 but the console pretty regularly locks up and a lot less responsive than it used to be
Unfortunately, no. Its using the same in-ram database that the monitors do and duplicating all the work. The answer is to use Solve if resources are limited.
Solve real-time data old console only for configuration
i do also use solve but the realtime client is always a little easier to work with. weird thing is i have plenty of extra ram and even when it would use this much ram in the past , the client was very responsive. more recent versions i’ve seen that take a pretty big hit unfortunately
The only thing you can do is connect to the hypervisor and EUC sites only. When needed drill into the machines to connect to the agent.
i do get that solve/web is the path forward….just too bad the old school client lost its responsiveness that it used to.
appreciate the help either way guys!
i’ll mess w/ those concurrent connection settings to see if i can find a new sweet spot
I love the old console as well but the more I use the new we portal and having scouters wbd remotedx all I the one console is so good. And able to open different views in different browser tabs or on multiple screens maks it easy to look at host data plus vm and session a at the same time
Slowly getting converted
agreed, i do really love the web portal! its come so far! i’m sure thats part of it for me too, just needing to fully move to that. the realtime client just was always a bit more responsive some some actions
having the client metrics integrated is a pretty helpful feature i agree too
I do love remotedx
Having the historical data will be fantastic
Streaming has that now in the Session Activity reports.
Yep have on one customer just need to fix remotedx
which module is that preset in again? i still am bouncing between solve and dex
It’s still not fully released yet
we actually got it put into our client last week actually…just havent dug into it much yet
nevermind i see the reports but not session client just yet
If u have streaming it’s there as a drfault
Or from solve.
cool yup thats what our account team added to our account last week so i see that in solve and in dex but client isnt an option in there for us at least
session client that is (unless i’m looking in the wrong area
i see more reports in the solve interface than i do under reports in dex for what its worth too but maybe thats on purpose for now
In the presets? What if you manage the columns? Its the button right here.
There is u need ability to share report configuration 🫣
