A discussion about admin and service desk user experience for CU Insights took place, with some users mentioning issues with browser performance. Some recommended trying the new reports in Solve, while others suggested that Insights was moving towards a new service for better usability. The timestamp feature was also discussed, with some users asking for it to be made more visible for easier use. It was also mentioned that an API endpoint for start/stop/active/idle/disconnect/reconnect times is in the works for common questions. The timestamp feature can be found on the Insights platform by clicking on the Show/Hide icon. The timestamp can also be displayed by default by clicking on the same icon.

Any guidance on admin/service desk user experience for CU Insights, specifically browser performance when the session state table when looking at a session? It’s common this crashes browsers for our service desk when they try to drill down for details.
Insights can be painful for sure…
Did you had a chance to try the new reports in Solve?
Insights is progressively moving away to a new (and better) service
I havent, let me try Solve.
Usability from a browser performance standpoint is there, but unfortunately it doesn’t have that data, in this case the start/stop timestamps. Looks like for that, they’d have to export to CSV on Solve and then parse manually.
You mean that this diagram
is not accurate enough?
maybe @member could jump in and tell us if it’s planned to put the exact timestamp on mouse over for example?
Are 14 day sessions common in your environment?
I suspect that the process list is quite large for that session
Yeah they are often asked for the specific start/stop times (Law firm).
Yes 14 day sessions are common for RemotePC users.
I’ll let David comment on specifics. But if you’re mainly interested in start/stop/active/idle/disconnect/reconnect times of sessions then I believe there is an API endpoint coming specifically for that. As it is a very common question.
you can present the time stamp
By default, the timestamp (Start Time and End Time) is hidden. To display the timestamp, click on the Show/Hide Icon
huh. Today I learned
Thanks @member!
