A user asked if it is possible to have a ControlUp monitor server in a DMZ while managing Citrix desktops not in the DMZ. Connectivity over port 40705 to the agent is possible, but DNS resolution and AD connections must also be in place for it to work.
Read the entire ‘Is it Possible to Have a Monitor Server in a DMZ?’ thread below:
Is it possible for a monitor server to be in a DMZ and still manage citrix desktops not in the DMZ? we are setting up a replacement server for one of our monitors and was hoping to have it out there (for other reasons) so wondering if its doable w/ some firewall excelptions or something
if the monitor can connect to the agent over 40705 that would be no issue
but dns resolution would need to work, ad connections as well etc
cool thank you!
