A user had reported that users of ControlUp’s Real-time Console cannot search all fields, which first appears in version 8.6. An internal ref number for this bug is 119007, although engineers have not been able to reproduce it yet. The user was asked if they are using any application virtualization technology, as this could be the cause. The user stated they are not using any, but this was nonetheless good to know.

Anyone else having issues searching "All Fields" in the real-time console? Started happening with 8.6 and 8.7 didn’t fix it either. We have to drop down and select name everytime. Makes it especially tough because we used to be able to search for machines on a certain host.
Are you seeing that with all users of the console?
Hi @member
I’m familiar with this issue since it was reported previously. Internal ref # for this bug is 119007.
The hard part is that I couldn’t manage to reproduce it in-house and didn’t find anything in the logs or locale issues. Strange one indeed.
There’s a dedicated engineer that is looking into this these days and I’m following this. At this time, I can’t commit on the fix ETA but we’ll do our best.
@member since this is something environmental – will you be able to test an enhanced console build with additional logs?@member Yep it’s all users who utilize the Real-time Console.
@member thanks Yair. We absolutely would. My co-worker did open a case on it, but the confusing piece is that the Engineer told him 8.7 should fix it, and when he reached back out he said the "Feature Request" should be included in 8.8.
I’ll sync with him early next week to make sure all counterparts are aligned. Thank you! @member
@member are you using any application virtualization technology to deploy the console?
I virtualized ControlUp in the past using AppV and my teammates reported that they had to change the defaults each time they launched the console. It turned out to be AppV. When the app was deployed after each day the package had the AppData folder captured. So the AppData folder with the ControlUp preferences was being overwritten by the virtualization tech reverting their changes to whatever the defaults were when the package was captured.
@member just seeing this! We are not, where it’s just an .exe we put it on a network share and have people copy it locally when it’s time to upgrade. That is good to know though!
