A user was experiencing duplicate email alerts and asked for help in setting up a trigger email alert from one monitor only. Another user suggested checking the frequency at which the trigger runs and contacting support for further assistance, including sending a screenshot of the trigger settings. The user was advised to create logs for support to review. The feature being discussed can be found in ControlUp 8.8 On-prem.

hi everyone, is anybody know how to set a trigger email alert to be send only from one monitor? i’m getting tons of duplicates mail alerts. thanks in advance and have a good day ๐
I think this is more in relation of how often you have the trigger run on the same issue, not sure if it is Monitor related.
Give me a moment to look up the feature
Thanks a lot Sivan ๐
One of these might be the reason
this particular trigger is a scheduled one and i don’t have this "send an e-mail alert" screen, only "send an email alert using a local SMTP server".
we have ControlUP 8.8 On-prem.
how often do you have the trigger run? (from the first screenshot) I know this should exist on On-Prem
Daily
i saw the send an email screen you send but on other triggers type
I was thinking more of this one, it should be in every type of trigger. But if you have that set as 1 day than I am not sure what the issue could be. The agent is only monitored by one monitor (how the load balancing works).
Contact support on this one so they can look at the back-end logs with you and send them a screenshot of your trigger settings so they can check it out. ๐
They will also give you instructions for creating the logs to get them sent.
Send it. thank you Sivan, have a good day ๐
