ControlUp users discussed a potential Edge DX plugin for Dell ThinOS. Dell mentioned the same feature six months ago, however, there has been no official announcement since. ControlUp users receive reports of both Edge DX and Remote DX. Remote DX is available in the ThinOS 9.1 release but Edge DX will not be accessible until the ThinOS moves to Ubuntu next year. A package is available if users wish to push it themselves.

I hear that ControlUp is possibly working on Edge-DX for Dell ThinOS. Is anyone testing this?
Dell mentioned the same to us when we mentioned competitors have the plugin.. That was easily 6 months ago, not seen anything announced.
@member can you chime in? I think the delays are not on our side but we’re waiting for Dell?
@member I think you are referring to Remote DX that is added to the Dell-Wyse ThinOS 9.1 release (release on Thursday if i’m not mistaken)
I have have reports of both Edge DX and Remote DX from ControlUp. Would rather see Edge DX personally.
I do see it as an option for the 2211 thinos release 🙂
Yea, sorry. 2211 is the right version
Hi @member (I hope you’re doing well! 🙂) We won’t be able to monitor Dell Wyse with Edge DX until they move to Ubuntu next year but we were able to get it working with Remote DX for the telemetry data, let me know if you need the package!
Good to know. Remote DX is at least a step in the right direction. Just have to wait now for ThinOS 2211 to drop again as it looks like it was pulled due to an issue.
@member I have the package if you want to push it by yourself
