Chad asked about the ControlUp products Realtime DX, Edge DX, and Scoutbees. These products are used to manage physical and virtual desktops respectively, as well as diagnose issues, automate tasks, measure UC&C engagements, and test SaaS apps. With a 21 day trial of the products, Chad can gain a better understanding of the features. For additional assistance, Chad is encouraged to engage with the Pre-sales team or contact the Support team. How are the credentials saved on ControlUp Scoutbees for a published App/Desktop scout?
Credentials for Apps/Desktops on Scoutbees are encrypted either in a database or with AWS-vault, depending on whether the Scout is running on a cloud hive or a custom hive. When configuring a custom hive, the credentials are stored only locally in a file. For further information see https://controlupcommunity.slack.com/archives/C046DUGB6M9/p1668549692870029.

Missing the “Reconnect ” Option for RDP sessions in ControlUp RealTime DX
The discussion focused on the lack of a "reconnect" option in RealTime DX for managing Remote Desktop sessions when resolution changes occur. The team is currently exploring "Solve Actions" as an option, with additional Edge DX capability in the future. Customers are using Devolutions RDM and its "rdp file association" as a workaround for now. ControlUp RDX stands out as it allows for various credential sets and no additional tooling is needed. Reconnect option can be found when right-clicking on the machine instead of the tab. A tabbed RDP manager using the RealTime Console has many benefits, such as copy/paste of clipboard and files.

They can also check the Stress Level Dialog for other enumeration values. Dennis suggested adding a note regarding the values into the trigger dialog as well. The user agreed to look into this.

A user asked whether the ControlUp Console could use the Office 365 SMTP for alerts. It was suggested to use the "local" SMTP, a cloud-based one and/or Gmail's SMTP. The user then tested in a lab with port 25 and found it to be working, subsequently confirming it with PowerShell outside of ControlUp. Thanks to @member for further insights, it appeared that port 587 on O365 was blocked. Title: Can ControlUp Use Office 365 SMTP for Alerts?
