Troubleshooting Permissions on ControlUp VDI DaaS Portal
A user noticed a change in the VDI DaaS portal and the VDI specific Audit Log. They were previously able to perform remote control actions, but now are met with a "permission denied" message. Further investigation reveals some quirky permission behavior and an incident was opened. It seems to be related to the recent change in the SAML provider. It was suggested to enable "manage web app" on org members to test, which fixed the issue. Further assistance from the identity team may be needed to fix the SAML configuration.

Changes in Citrix Licensing – Impact on Usage Monitoring with ControlUp

Using ControlUp Triggers for Citrix Monitoring

A column in cu4vdi shows the registered state and there is a community trigger for this. The use of Citrix Cloud should not be an issue for the trigger, as conditions can be added to report only when the machine is powered on, regardless of whether it is DaaS or on-prem.

Configuring Triggers for Secure Browse Analysis in ControlUp
A discussion about configuring trigger for a Secure Browse Analysis was mentioned. The option to fire a script after the detection of specific events is currently available for the endpoint agent but not yet for the VDI/DAAS environment. Two ongoing projects, Workflows and the centralized Events feature, aim to simplify this process and will potentially allow for advanced alerts based on the collected data. @member stated that the first phase of the project, Events Management, is currently in beta and will eventually be able to turn incidents based on collections of events.
