The user asked if they can run an application as part of a Scout with Scoutsbees shell extensions. It is possible to run anything on the Custom Hive or Powershell.exe as System. Login Enterprise combined with Azure was suggested for migration testing or a new application, but Shell execution would have to run in the Custom Hive and System context. The user wanted to avoid going through separate teams and departments to use the logon script in Scoutbees.

Health Checks for VMware UAGs Using Horizon and UAG APIs within ControlUp
A user asked for suggestions on what metrics to assess in a project to do better health checks on VMware UAGs using Horizon and UAG APIs. Ideas include alerting when a connection server exceeds a threshold, and when services are not in a running state, as well as low available memory and high CPU. These metrics would also be desirable to display in ControlUp's Solve and Console. Discussions also included Dennis' idea to bring the data to Edge DX and a feature request for UAG data.

How to Kick off Windows Systemreset Command from ControlUp Edge DX?
A user wondered if there was a way to kick off the Windows "systemreset -factoryreset" command with a script from Edge, as an alternative to the user going into recovery mode, but it seems that a prompt is required which will be unanswered if the user is not logged on. The user would not like to automate this process and the solution may not be worth the effort required to make it 100% safe.

When attempting to use Remote Assistance from the console, a file with no association appears. It is not possible to use the console on Server machines. Enabling the desktop experience feature may help. There is also a scripted action called "Shadow session" to enable it properly, however group policy values and administrator access to the target machine may be required. More information can be found at https://www.controlup.com/script-library-posts/shadow-session/.

Syncing Between AD and ControlUp
A user asked about putting in place a sync between AD and ControlUp and wondered what the folderpath attribute should look like in their case. The universal sync script is the replacement for the CVAD script, and should be used for EUC. It was suggested to add an introductory section comparing the AD Sync and EUC Sync to the documentation, which the team is now doing. The link in the EUC Sync documentation was removed due to being deprecated. The updated documents can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs.
