Setting Up an Azure Integration with ControlUp
A user asked about setting up an Azure integration and using the same app/service principal for Azure SAML auth. It was suggested to keep an eye on Rate Limits and use multiple SPN's to split requests and maintain uninterrupted service. This can be tracked in 8.8 using Subscription columns AZ % Rate Limit Usage, AZ Retries (Past Hour), AZ AIP Stats and AZ & AIP Variance. Accessing the API Tab in ControlUp SIP
In order to access the API tab in ControlUp SIP, users must login directly to SIP, not through DEX. If unable to log on, a support ticket can be submitted for a devops team to create an API key. There is no exact ETA on when the API key tab will be available for DEX.

Error Code 40005 When Enabling SAML Authentication for ControlUp Solve

How to add users to ControlUp Insights and Solve Access
A user asked how to add users to Insights - they needed to be added to the Security policy and then launch the RTC one-time to sign up. It is recommended to give the user the "Use Solve" right in the security policy, and if a SAML is used, then there is no need for the export/import process. To get the "Manage Solve" permissions, this is found in the "Perform organization-wide actions". The "Create Solve user automatically" option in the SAML settings is not available at the moment, with no estimated time of repair.

Error “Communication problem. Please try agai n in a few minutes” when new user’s sign into ControlUp Insights
New users were experiencing an error when logging in to the SaaS URL's, and it was observed through the discussion that they would need to open the console first. It was suggested that for Solve users, they can be created without touching the console with the help of PowerShell cmdlets, CSV import, and SAML. The option is not yet available for Insights.

How to add new users to ControlUp Real Time DX?
A user asked a question about adding users to a ControlUp setup, with the question of whether it needs to be done via the Login Setup screen in version 8.7 or if it can be done through adding people to an AD group. In order to do this, users need to be added manually. However, ControlUp is working on enhancing its Solve/SAML integration, which will enable new users to be auto created as needed. This would be done with the new DEX platform/login when configured to use SAML. ControlUp will keep @member updated on its progress with the DEX platform.

Finding Out About SSO Integration for ControlUp Products
A user asked about SSO integration with Solve and Insights, as well as the integration of Scout Bees and whether it is necessary to configure Solve and Insights separately with the IDP. The user was informed that Solve and Insight can be accessed via Solve, and that Insights will be ported over into Solve, with the data upload process and dependency on s3 being removed. An update is expected in about a week or two, and the user was advised to contact their CSM or sales team for more unofficial details.
