A user asked for help with an error message when pushing an Agent version. They were given a solution and reference for further assistance.
Read the entire ‘Troubleshooting Agent Errors with ControlUp Registry Keys’ thread below:
Hello everyone, I encountered an error message when pushing the 8.8.0.1060 version of Agent, indicating "Failed to replace agent files to match version 8.8.0.1060. Value was either too large or too small for an Int32".
This phenomenon only appears in part of VDI, have you ever encountered it?
Can you check the following keys on the remote machine. Do these values exist, and if so, are any of them either very large or very small or not numbers at all?
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Smart-X\ControlUp\Install\WindowsInstaller
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Smart-X\ControlUp\Install\WindowsInstaller
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Smart-X\ControlUpAgent\Install\WindowsInstaller
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Smart-X\ControlUpAgent\Install\WindowsInstaller
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Smart-X\ControlUp\Agent\Port
For my reference (in case I need to remember where this is documented)
VSO 180204
Thank you, I will check the following keys on the machine.
The problem is one of the registries has legacy data.
