A user had difficulty getting ControlUp Monitor to collect data from their VMs. Suggestions include creating a separate role for their Monitor service account and creating a separate service account with access to the computer objects in the farm and AD reader permissions. Additionally, the user was directed to a link with the Security Policy for Users and Permissions found on ControlUp’s website.

Hello, I’m having difficulty getting ControlUp monitor to collect data from our VMs. I am getting a permissions error. Is there any additional documentation, other than the one on ControlUp’s website, to help with this?

In particular you should create a separate role for your monitor service account that has connect to windows and connect to Linux machine permissions

You should create a separate service account that should have access to the all the respective computer objects in your farm along with AD reader permissions for getting account detail from AD. What specific permission error are you getting?
