There were reported issues with script execution on ControlUp Agents within an organization. Errors were received when executing specific scripts, but not when using the Realtime Console. The problem may be with ControlUp monitor servers. For now, a workaround is to stop the affected monitors, delete the ControlUp Store.xml file, and restart the monitor. This is a known issue and will be addressed in a future release. The issue is documented as VSO 155910 and 158919.
Read the entire ‘Troubleshooting Script Execution Issues in ControlUp Agents’ thread below:
We are experiencing some problems with script execution on ControlUp Agents in our organisation.
The issue is that on some of the servers we get the following error when executing certain scripts (list local admins, list user’s printers etc.)
"System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary."
We get the error when using Solve of scheduled trigger but NOT when using the Realtime Console
It seems to me that the problem must be with the ControlUp monitor servers since they are executing the script when using triggers and Solve
We are running identical Citrix PVS provisioned windows 2019 servers and despite the fact that they are identical, we can have some servers where we can execute the script from Solve and anothers where it fails
are those servers where it works and where it doesn’t work hosted in different folders? If so please check the security policy
Unfortunately this is a known issue. It’ll be addressed in the next release (9.x).
For the time being, you can work around it by:
• Stop the affected monitors
• Delete ControlUp Store.xml in C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\app data\roaming\controlup\configuration\controlup store\ControlUp Store.xml
• Start the monitor
For my and other CU engineers reference, VSO 155910 and 158919.
Thank you very much for the quick reply
I will try the suggested work around
