A user asked for a way to examine slow logons in a new FSLogix configuration. @member suggested watching the ControlUp Analyze Logon Duration webinar for an introduction to the ALD script, followed by the extended Q&A blog/video. They also recommended launching an FSLogix log parser script to look for retries and the "loadProfile time" in the ControlUp logs. The user is asked to report their results. Hey everyone, is there a way to drill down a bit in the logon duration-other to grab more information? Only one user seems to have slow logons right now in our brand spanding new fslogix configuration, and I’m banging my head against my travelocity gnome trying to figure out what’s causing the slowness. Right now, that column has the longest time of all the logon on parts. The analyse logon time script isn’t helping me too much here.
you sure you enabled the required changes for the ald script?
The ALD script is the drill down. @member is an expert and this webinar is a good starting point for learning about it https://www.controlup.com/webinars/webinar-end-slow-logons-forever-with-controlup/
We also did a follow up blog/video in which we get into Q&A https://www.controlup.com/resources/blog/entry/controlup-analyze-logon-duration-after-hours-an-extended-webinar-qa/
On top of that, I’d try to launch this script : https://www.controlup.com/script-library-posts/fslogix-log-parser/
It’s a very good way of understanding the FSLogix part of the user’s logon
I’d look for retries as it’s a common issue with FSLogix
At the end of the output, you should have something like “loadProfile time:” with the time in ms
I guess I have some watching to do. I’ll also check the “loadProfile” entry in the control up logs.
Thanks!
It’s in the FSLogix logs, filtered by the script ran by ControlUp @member
Let us know the results
