A discussion took place regarding the accuracy of the data in the DEX and device reports for installed applications. It was clarified that the report is updated every 24 hours, or 24 hours after the agent starts. This report is set to run while the device is online and will continue to check at an interval. Users can check the data’s last collection date in the index, accessible through the "data" tab, and ensure the "include builtin indexes" checkbox is checked. The index has a "created" date for when it was added and a "created_local" date for when the agent generated the data. There are visuals available for reference.

When looking at DEX and device reports -> installed applications – how current is this report? i’m not sure what the interval is for edge dx agents to report this data
Every 24 hours. Which generally means 24 hours after the agent started.
However, I believe this report is set to only run while the device is online. Meaning it will be rechecked on an interval (I believe 5 min) until the device comes online.
Thanks sir!
You should be able to see when the data was last collected in the index. If you go to the hamburger icon in the top right. Then data > search for installed. You should see the index that holds the data. Make sure the “include builtin indexes” checkbox is checked.
The index has a created (date/time added to the index) and a created_local (date/time the agent generated the data)
All of this is from memory. So index names and checkbox names might be different.
some visuals to help you out @member. Im piggy backing off what @member wrote which is really impressive he knows this without visuals.
