A user asked if it was possible to trigger windows events with "Information" type, and was informed that this is not currently supported. However, it will be available in a future release and a PowerShell script can be used as a temporary workaround. Another user thanked for the information and asked if there was a feature request submitted for this. The team at ControlUp responded that enhanced log monitoring, including triggers for Information-level events, will be integrated soon and they are looking for partners to help understand use cases. There was a question about adding trending for events and the response clarified this as having a trend analysis for events.

Is it possible to trigger windows events where "Type" equals "Information"? When I specifically go to set type that option is not available.
If I leave "Type" out of the filtering, will it then trigger on anything outside of Error, Warning, or AuditFailures?
This is currently not supported, however, we will add support for all event types in one of the next releases (most probably 9.1)
However, while thinking of a temporary workaround, you could probably write a PowerShell script that uses an EventLogWatcher. In the moment, where this PS script sees the Information-level Event Log that you are interested in, you could create an Error-level Event Log to the Application log which further runs a ControlUp Trigger
Thanks for the information. Is there a feature request submitted I can put my thumbs up on perhaps? This is critical for us for automation. We can build workarounds but honestly we expect CU to handle this out of the box. There are many applications out there, including VMware Horizon, that pushes many logs to event viewer that are "Information" type and could be critical issues we would need to trigger/action for.
This isn’t needed. Enhanced Log Monitoring, including the ability to trigger on Information-level events, will be integrated in our product
Thanks again for the info, looking forward to the new enhancement.
I have already been in touch with many customers, but I am still looking for partners who help us understand their use cases
this feature will i can see making event logs more accessible, was any trending added?
What do you mean with "Trending"? Having a trend analysis (forecast) for events?
