A user asked if they can use ControlUp to monitor RDSH sessions and reboot sessions or Thin Client devices if necessary. Kursten suggested to add the RDSH hosts to the console and set up a trigger with a filter for the logoff script action, and said Thin Client devices could be done via Edge DX. They pointed to the ControlUp Academy for recommended training and to a Use Case for instructions on creating a trigger. Kursten also suggested looking into IGEL ThinClients, which have a post session command to "reboot". The Academy link can be found at https://cuacademy.controlup.com/.

We have a requirement to be able to have ControlUP to monitor RDSH sessions and if required (Triggered) get the session or thin client device to reboot. Is this something that is available now? If so how would we achieve this. Thanks.
Easy one, add the rdsh hosts to the console and setup a trigger with a filter for the logoff Script action.
thin client would need to be done via edge DX
this would also be a perfect question for @member’s open office hours 🙂
And! We have a use case on this
was just looking for it
Thanks, Kursten, this is for my teammate, so I will make sure I have this correct and come back if he needs something different.
Can you point me to any documenttion about this at all.
@member are you still in the POC stage or was ControlUp already purchased?
We have it installed, for the last 2 years, but I have been thrown in to be the SME for ControlUP.
ok cool so first of all welcome to the family. I would suggest taking our training first if you didn’t already do so, this is def covered in that.

Thanks

@member are you using IGEL ThinClients by chance?
There you can configure a post session command, which will be „reboot“ in your case 🙂
