A user experienced issues with getting data from thin clients connected to WiFi after the company switched Optiplex 3000 machines to WiFi. A team was assigned to check for any blocks and it was mentioned that older versions of ControlUp had problems with WiFi, but those issues have since been resolved. It was also discussed that the latest version of the Dell agent for ThinOS is 2.2.5. The VDI’s are currently using version 8.8 and will soon be updated to 9.0.

We recently moved all our Dell Optiplex 3000’s to WiFi and now RemoteDX doesn’t show any data for our thin clients. When the client is connected to ethernet I’m getting data. I’m having my FW team verify that there are no blocks but just was curious if anyone has seen this before. I’m running version 9.0 and the TC’s are running ControlUp 2.2.5
Relatively old versions had problems with wifi. But those bugs have long since been solved. Are you on a relatively recent version?
Dell’s latest version of the agent for ThinOS is 2.2.5 and the VDI’s are running 8.8 soon to be 9.0 after we update our images.
